MANDEVILLE: Mr. Edward Muir, Regional Operations Manager, Southern Parks and Markets Waste Management Limited and Public Cleansing Manager Mr. Sheldon Smith, on Monday January 9, 2017, met with Mayors of St. Elizabeth, Manchester and Clarendon at the Manchester Municipal Corporation to discuss a partnership approach relating to a myriad of solid waste issues.
Mr. Muir acknowledged the need for additional collection units and assured the Mayors that arrangements would be instituted to ensure the timely collection of solid waste from the respective communities.
Additional issues discussed included: mini dumps, beautification, cleaning of markets, placement of skips and Places of Amusement Licenses.
