The community of Greenvale, just outside Mandeville, benefitted from the Ministry of Health’s Mosquito Search and Destroy initiative on Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10.
Chief public health inspector in Manchester, Charmaine Palmer-Cross, said the operation was mainly intended to find and destroy Aedes aegypti mosquito-breeding sites, and to build public awareness about the importance of mosquito control.
